Positive books- two great examples...

I heard Dr. Corina Grace chatting about her new book "Take Charge of Your Career... and Fine a Job You Really Love!" on 4FM the other day. She sounds very good and the book does as well so I went into town and bought it the other day. As I was going to buy it I saw the book "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle sitting idly on the bannister of the stairs. I had just heard of it recently and it was divine interention that it was so strikingly put in front of me so I bought it. I am reading this book first. I'm reading it slowly and will also with the other one. It's definitely worth reading- I can say that about it so far. Corina Grace's book also is a workbook so it will take me a couple of weeks to read the both of them...

Dear Darren,

Thank you for your comments about my radio interview and especially for buying the book - how are you getting on with it? I am also a huge fan of Eckart Tolle and if you enjoy his books I thought you might be interested in a couple of others which are along the same lines. The first is the "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" by Dan Millman which is written as a novel combining fact and fiction and has some great insights and lessons on becoming conscious & the second is "What we may be" by Piero Ferrucci which is more theoretical but really captures the ego mind very well. You can order both from Amazon. You might also check out Deepak Chopra's books if you haven't done so already.

Warmest regards
Corina Grace

Hi Corina,

Thanks for the suggestions...!!!

I have just read Eckhart's Tolle's other book "A New Earth- How To Create A Better Life" and it is the most powerful book that I have ever read. My next spirituality book I will be reading will be "The Last Hours Of Ancient Sunligh". I have also read up a little bit on Deepak Chopra only recently.

I started to read your book but I looked at the different categories of jobs that we can want to work in. The only two things that appeal to me are the media and the Community and Voluntary Sector. I wouldn't have the stamina to work from the bottom up in the media as I am only good/relatively good at talking (I know it sounds weird) and writing about things that I am interested in and I wouldn't be able to cover other things much. I don't want to report "on" things unless they effect/affect me/my values... I have a good CV I am proud and encouraged to know. If I am out of work at the end of the year after finishing up in the radio station I am now in I will certainly keep busy and have focus to my days. I will also stay involved with the station... I do look at activelink.ie every week regarding jobs in the Community and Voluntary Sector. It has been suggested to me a couple of times that I should write a book and I may do that if I have a lot of times on my hands. My biggest passion is politics though. I will just continue to be a community activist (however not well known amongst most people) if I am out of work. I may read your book then. I certainly have not dismissed it and will I think read it over the next few months. When I read it I will let you know what I think about it. There is not much more though that I could be doing at the moment to get a job. I have been looking for the last year. I will probably work one day a week voluntarily in the Community and Voluntary Sector if I am out of work at the end of the year.

My biggest goal now to tell the truth is to play my part (however small) in getting a new Government in place in this country. I would enjoy working more in the Community and Voluntary Sector then also...

Thanks...!!!!
